Jet2 has announced it will be adding nine new destinations from Manchester Airport next year. The airline will fly to leisure destinations like Prague, Split, Dubrovnik and Reus beginning in the summer of 2010.

This will be Manchester Airport’s first link to Reus (Costa Dorada). The introduction of the new links will take the total number of routes Jet2 operates from Manchester airport to 28. This means Jet2 will now be providing budget links to the widest range of leisure destinations offered from Manchester Airport.

As Jet2’s boss Philip Meeson says, the airline is in fact bucking the trend and increasing its services where other airlines are making cutbacks.  Meeson says the airline will now lead the pack at Manchester Airport, offering the largest number of scheduled connections to leisure destinations.

The airline boss has said that timings and schedules for Jet2 flights have carefully been planned to suit travellers’ needs. The Jet2 schedules offer travellers the option of taking short breaks or longer trips as desired, says Meeson.

He says Jet2 has grown from strength to strength since beginning its operations at Manchester Airport in 2005, and has emerged a popular carrier with both leisure and business travellers.
